Legislative Office Building The Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms Security Division strives to pioneer improved, innovative and dependable ways to protect and serve the Members of the Legislature and all Capitol employees. Our services extend to the Legislative Office Building, commonly referred to as the LOB building. The Legislative Office Building has a substation located on its first floor. The substation is fully furnished with surveillance equipment, emergency response kits and other apparatus. Our job is to provide a timely response to panic alarms, to investigate thefts, or to order an evacuation of the building if necessary.
