Communications Center

A high-tech communication system links the California Highway Patrol dispatch and the Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms dispatch. This communication system is also used to by the dispatcher and the officers to communicate with each other. There are video cameras mounted throughout the Capitol, and the Capitol grounds, and are monitored by staff in dispatch. Through the use of both the communication and video systems the dispatcher can direct officers to the scene of any emergency within minutes.
