Security Department
Assembly Gallery
The public may observe the legislative proceedings and debates during Assembly Floor
Sessions from the Gallery. However, public comments are not permitted during the Floor Sessions.
This policy is much different than that of the House of Commons; where legislative proceedings and
debates are not open to the public at all.
Today, thousands of visitors from all around the world visit the Assembly Gallery.
Each visitor must pass through a series of security measures before being allowed to enter the gallery.
Visitors must also have their personal property examined and scanned.
