Committee Hearings

The Security Division is strategically positioned in Committee Hearings to maintain order and assist Committee Chairpersons in a variety of areas. They ensure the safety and security of the Committee members and the public attending the hearing. The Legislative hearings are held in the State Capitol, and various locations throughout the State of California. The Security Division is empowered to arrest any subpoenaed witness who neglects or refuses to attend a Committee hearing. In addition to keeping order and decorum during any Legislative Committee hearing, they ensure that Committee procedures are adhered to.
